The Hostal staff welcomed us even though we arrived late after calling to book. They provided soap and towels, and offered a choice of two included light breakfasts: fruit or an omelet with bread, plus coffee, tea or juice. One very nice staff member even made mine after the usual breakfast time. The dormitory was very comfortable, with a fan and A/C. The shared spaces and indoor garden were nice. I highly recommend it!

The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming, though some Spanish may be needed. The place is fairly clean and quiet, and a good fit for travellers who aren't looking for partying and booze. Prices were very friendly: 150 pesos per bed in a four-bed shared room (July 2018). It's also well placed near the central cathedral, the ADO station and colectivo stops for places like Ek Balam or Chichen Itza. A great place to stay.

Basic hostel, close to the town centre, with lovely staff. I stayed in a clean four-bed dorm for 150pesos. It had no window, and the air conditioning was broken, though a wall-mounted fan moved some air. Lockers with keys were provided and the place felt safe. Wifi worked fine. Breakfast is included, but booking by phone or in person lets you get a dorm for 120 pesos without it. The breakfast was two pieces of toast with a little butter and jam, an omelette and hot water for Nescafé or herbal tea. It's cheap compared with other places in the area and does the job, though it isn't very cosy or social. I'd stay again.

I was travelling solo in April and stayed four nights. There's a nice garden to relax in, and breakfast was always good and different. Noé and family, the owners, were really helpful and suggested places for me to visit. My advice if you're going to Valladolid is to stay here. Best place to stay :)
