Breakfast was the one letdown: although it was included in the price, you could only choose the Americano. A better selection would have made this a 5/5 for us. Still, we had a good stay. The room was very large, with a nice bed and good amenities, though it felt a little cold. Reception can lend you an electric heater for free. The hotel has a lovely view of a waterfall, which you can enjoy over breakfast or dinner.

Our six-person room was nice, but it had just one bathroom. The hotel sits among a waterfall, forest, and river, and the staff were helpful. They lit the chimney and took us from the lobby to our cabin. There are some entertainment options, though fewer than I expected.

The river and waterfall are the only things I really liked. The hotel and rooms reek of disinfectant, which was unbearable, and the pools and jacuzzis are heated only to 30 degrees Celsius. That doesn’t feel like a spa to me. You come here to freeze. Our “grand deluxe” room was actually a chalet on the side of the hotel, and it was cold and damp. The “included” breakfast was a total mood killer. We waited forever for a table even though we were staying guests. Tables were left set with food on them for people who had reserved them, and we had to wait for those people to arrive. The management felt uncaring and disorganized. The service staff weren’t at fault, but I’m absolutely disappointed and won’t return. I wholeheartedly don’t recommend this hotel.

The waterfall is a big part of the natural feel here, and you can hear it throughout the grounds. The heated pool was great, and the spa was reasonably priced. They serve you tea to prepare for the relaxing treatment. The daily food menu had a decent range, and most of what I ate was delicious. The drinks went nicely with the meals too. I came for a couple of days to get away from the city. Our room was outside the main hotel, which was nice until the rain came, several times a day, every day. The room and lobby were very clean, and the staff were on point and ready to help. But rain leaked through the bathroom ceiling window and left a puddle by the sink. There was no Wi-Fi outside the lobby, and the lobby connection kept dropping, so checking email or doing night work was hard. Cell service was rare in the room too. The gym has three cardio machines, two broken, and no free weights. This really is a place to disconnect from the world.
