Hotel Hostal de Cortés

The staff were especially professional, and the location is really convenient. The facilities are excellent.

The kids loved the pool, and the food was amazing. It’s a very clean, well-kept place, with parking and fresh towels available whenever you need them. The price is great for this area, and the location is perfect. I’ll definitely return.

Everything else was great, and I would have given this place five stars if not for the hotel safe issue. My parents discovered money was missing from the safe the day before leaving, when they opened it while packing. When they reported it, the shift manager treated them as if they were lying and insisted nobody could open the safes, then acknowledged that people with a key could. They said they’d raise it with the GM, but she never contacted my parents. If you stay here, consider zip-tying your valuables or using a portable camera when you’re out of the room. Keep safe.

The included breakfast was closer to brunch than a basic continental spread. I was offered eggs made the way I wanted, and there were hot dishes in chafing trays. The place was very nice and clean, and the front desk staff and bellhop were polite and helpful.
