Hotel Puerto Inn

We booked for six. The mattresses were comfortable, there was hot water, shampoo and soap, and a small closet. Parking out front was manageable when the lot was full, since the receptionist could see the car. But the pool noise went on past closing time, so light sleepers may take a while to fall asleep. The internet was terrible and I couldn't connect. I wasn't given a towel, though I had my own and didn't ask, and there was no bath mat to keep the floor dry. We also couldn't get the AC to turn on. The floors look dirty but are stained; there was actual mud and dust in the shared areas. Decent for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer if I wanted a more pleasant visit.

The rooms were clean, but the beds were very uncomfortable. The bedding was thin, worn, and not enough when the weather turned colder than usual. We didn't shower because reception said we'd need to let the water run for 20 minutes before it got hot. Wasting that much water is unacceptable. We booked this cheap hotel because we unexpectedly needed another night and our original hotel had no availability. Even so, the price felt high for the condition of the place. It could work for one night if comfort doesn't matter; otherwise, forget it.

The room we were given was awful. It was musty, dusty, and the bulbs were dirty. There wasn't any hot water, and a cockroach was waiting for us too. The first room they showed us looked nice, so the one we got was a real disappointment. We asked to switch, but the replacement was only a little better. The old air conditioner rattled so loudly that anyone who sleeps lightly would be up all night. We regretted staying there.

I knew something felt off as soon as I approached the entrance. The room photos are touched up and don't reflect the actual state of the rooms or facilities. I canceled right away, but getting my money back turned into a maze of obstacles. I didn't need even a minute to see this as a hotel scam. I encourage people to file a complaint with PROFECO, Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Agency. Stay away from this place.
