Hotel Verasol

The staff were kind, and I have no complaint about them. But during the two days I had to stay there because of its location near the hospital, I never got hot water. I ran it for more than half an hour and it didn't even turn lukewarm. They said it didn't matter how long I left it running and that I should just wait longer. A terrible experience.

I chose this place because it was close to the hospital, but it's not suitable for short stays. It's cheap, yet basic amenities are missing, including body soap, so bring your own toiletries and towels. The towels were old, and the cleanliness lacked attention to detail. There was a soda bottle in the room when I arrived. The TV wouldn't turn on; after I told the manager, he gave me new batteries but did nothing else.

I was there for a cardiology appointment at the ISSSTE high-specialty hospital, just two blocks away. I couldn't get a hot shower.

The bed was very uncomfortable, and the room they finally gave me had several problems: the door wouldn't lock, Wi-Fi didn't reach it, and the tiny shower was uncomfortable and clogged. I had to clear the drain myself, and reception did nothing when I reported it. For a quick or emergency visit it's acceptable, but don't expect luxury. There was also poor communication between reception and service. They told me by phone to arrive at 1:00 for check-in, but when I got there they still didn't know whether my assigned room was clean. I went out to eat and take care of something for about two hours, and they still had no answer when I returned. They ended up offering me the last room.
