Fiesta Americana Hacienda San Antonio el Puente Resort & Spa

The rooms were clean, the beds were heavenly, and the staff were attentive. Mariana at reception and Luis at the Pool Bar were standouts! We also loved the food, and the restaurant's setting is spectacular. This grand hotel occupies a charming historic former Hacienda, with hundreds of rooms. Many wings aren't part of the original Hacienda, but the vaulted ceilings, stone walls, and beautiful architectural style carry throughout. The lush gardens, water features, and grand pool make the grounds a pleasure to explore or just relax in.

We booked for one night because we had plans at a nearby garden, then arrived to learn that a wedding was taking place and our room was near the venue. They warned us the music would go until 3 am and reassured us it wouldn't be too loud. It was awful: we couldn't sleep at all until the party ended. We called Reception twice and were told the Manager would handle our complaint, but nobody contacted us or followed up. We felt completely ignored. Fiesta Americana shouldn't have sold us a room where sleep wasn't possible, and the hotel lied to us and took no responsibility for the poor service.

Check your room choice carefully. I booked a King Deluxe, and it was easily the worst room I've had, despite the high rate. There was no natural light, just a window facing the service aisle. There wasn't even a small table for coffee, which barely fit on the bedside table.

Oscar in the main dining room was so kind and friendly, and worked incredibly hard as a server. He went above and beyond and made our meals and whole week much more enjoyable. Thank you, Oscar!
