The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. With the beach so close, we never needed the AC. We stayed 11 nights and really enjoyed the property. Pedro and Manuel were excellent, and a big shout out to the room cleaning staff, who were there daily, which seems rare these days. Hotel Descalzo also gets our award for best toilet paper in Mexico! One suggestion: beach lounge service before the restaurant bar opens would be useful. You could walk up and order at the restaurant, but the servers mostly weren’t busy and could bring in more revenue by offering service. Separately, Zipolite could use a food tour to showcase its amazing restaurants. There’s definitely a food scene happening here.

Pedro took incredible care of our group and made us feel welcome and looked after the whole time. The service and care for guests exceeded our expectations. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views and direct access to the ocean. One of the best spots on the beach. We’d absolutely return and highly recommend it.

Pedro, the manager, was always around, warmly welcoming us and paying close attention to every request. The spa is a must, with excellent massages. Hotel Descalzo is right on the beach, a romantic place for couples to relax and disconnect. It has a lovely pool and garden, a great beach club with good food and cocktails, and a peaceful atmosphere throughout.

The beachside setting is lovely, and the grounds are kept beautifully. I also tried a facial with Erika this time and really liked the organic products she used. Coming back to Descalzo is always a treat, especially when Pedro greets me. He and Manuel are so friendly, and the staff are helpful. The rooms are pretty and the location is right in the center of the beach. I’d happily return again.

I’d have no hesitation about staying at Descalzo again if it weren’t for the neighboring beach bar. Its techno music starts around midnight and can keep you awake until somewhere between 3 and 6 a.m. Such a shame, but that alone means I won’t return.
