Staying at Desa Balqis touched my heart. The peaceful setting, warm hosts and real village feel made it a wonderful retreat. I stayed in Pak Long’ house, which was comfortable and gave us a taste of local culture. I loved the traditional architecture and calm natural surroundings, and waking up to birds chirping and friendly hosts. The open spaces and slower pace brought back happy childhood memories of village life. It was more than a place to stay, and I can't wait to return. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, authentic stay 🫶🏻❤️

The resort has great potential, and overall it was okay, but there are several areas to improve, especially cleanliness and maintenance. We were there for host family day, and unfortunately the water ran short and the electricity kept tripping. Sayangnyaa..

We were meant to stay for 4 days for a family holiday at rumah Pak Ngah, at RM1000 per night, but left on the first day because of unpleasant circumstances (diganggu). It wasn't worth it at all. The resort is poorly maintained: the fan was dusty, the table hadn't been wiped, the bedroom was dusty, and the bathroom shower had no handle, so it was left hanging. At that price, they should be able to keep the place clean and the shower in proper condition. One bedroom's AC wasn't working well, and when we called for service, they told us to use the fan and said they'd check the next morning. That's bad customer service too. RM1000 a night is extremely extravagant for a resort in this condition. I'd give it zero stars if Google allowed it.

The surroundings are nice and it's near the beach, but the experience wasn't what I expected. Cleanliness and maintenance were poor.
