They had no 24-hour desk, only staff from 2 pm to 8 pm, but still accepted my booking at 11 pm and then refused to return my money. Agoda later said the booking had gone through automatically and only needed the hotel’s approval for a refund. The hotel told them I never showed up. I did go there: I took a photo of the empty desk, and I messaged and called them over and over with no answer. In Malay, what do you mean I didn’t arrive to check in? I was tired and needed a room. If the hotel was closed and had no round-the-clock service, why accept the booking and then claim I wasn’t there? They took the payment, gave me no room, and wouldn’t refund it. Such a useless, dishonest place.

I’d give zero stars if I could. We arrived to find out from the receptionist that the hotel was no longer connected with OYO, even though I had booked and paid through OYO’s website. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute, and I still haven’t received a refund. It was a really upsetting experience, and OYO should remove the hotel so nobody else goes through this.

The room was much smaller than it looked online, and it felt cramped for two people. The toilet was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and it was easy to get into town. I’m very disappointed with the OYO merger, though, because what you see isn’t what you get.

OYO cancelled my booking about 15 minutes before check-in, even though I’d paid in advance. It was a last-minute hotel, so that left me stuck. The receptionist was very rude when speaking to customers.
