Ampang Inn Hotel

The water heater and jacuzzi didn’t work at all, and nobody answered the phone. The service was very poor, with no technicians or anyone else to help. This hotel should be shut down, and the overall minister should inspect it.

The jacuzzi was the main reason I booked a hotel farther away, since most places don’t have a tub, but this one was unstable. It’s meant to stand on four legs but sat on three, so it moved when I sat on the edge. After running the water, the floor became wet. There may be a leak in the outflow, or perhaps it’s meant to be that way. Either way, stepping out after a nice bath meant a slippery floor and a risk of falling. The wooden piece above your head on the bed wasn’t secured well, and knocked against the wall with a noise when you turned or sat up. The Agoda photos didn’t match the room. We checked in very late after a night flight, and the counter staff didn’t greet us. One just kept looking at his phone. We only got one room card, which wasn’t very convenient. There were two bath towels on the bed, apparently one per person, but no face or floor towels. The shower took about five minutes to heat up, and the water pressure wasn’t ideal. Those things were still acceptable. At checkout the staff said nothing, and we stood waiting without knowing what was happening. One checked the room while the other waited, but nobody told us to wait for the inspection. They stayed quiet, returned the deposit, then went back to their phones without even saying thank you. It’s an okay hotel for a few nights, but it needs improvement.

We had a great room, clean and very modern, with a super comfy bed, good air conditioning, a double jacuzzi, and a huge flat screen TV. The staff were friendly and cheerful. The location is okay, and a Grab ride to KLCC was 19 ringgit. If you want a nicely priced hotel, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Lovely room design, but there are mosquitoes everywhere, and I even saw wrigglers in the bathroom. Bring repellent if you want to sleep peacefully.
