It’s a decent spot for sleeping, close to the beach and shops. My only complaint is the bathroom: the toilet light failed twice because of a wiring issue, and the pipes were leaking.

Kak Awi, the owner, made everyone feel welcome and was really friendly. There are two kinds of accommodation, chalets and container cabins. I chose a cabin because it had a larger balcony, air conditioning, and enough bedroom space for all my stuff. Highly recommended!

The beach is only a three-minute walk away, and our simple cabin had a queen bed, air conditioning, a water heater, two tables, and a locker for our things. It was clean, and we were surprised not to see any bugs, especially cockroaches. Nights can get really cold in monsoon season, though. We were freezing! We spent four days and three nights here over a weekend for a surf event. If you like a minimalist stay, this cabin chalet should suit you. Our rate was RM180 a night, possibly because it was peak season and so close to the beach. Don’t expect much beyond the basics. For more information, you can contact Puan Awi at +6019 927 3871.

Such a cute, simple chalet, and the owner was really friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable. This is a place to rest and relax with nature and village vibes, so don’t expect five-star accommodation. I’ll definitely come back!

We booked the chalet for two nights. For the price, we expected something small and simple, and at first glance it looked clean enough. Then, after we’d been away for a while, we came back to find cockroaches running across the mattress. There was no way we were staying. We found somewhere at the last minute and had to drive at night to the middle of nowhere just to get a peaceful night’s sleep. When I told the owner, they said they’d dealt with this many times, asked me to send proof, and said they’d be happy to refund us. We hadn’t taken photos or video of the cockroaches, so we didn’t get a refund. We’d only asked for the second night back, even though we didn’t stay the first night either. Now the owner has disappeared and isn’t answering my messages. So, don’t be surprised if you find unwanted company in your bed. If you do, film it first, or you may not get your money back.
