Tanjung Inn

The staff were accommodating from the moment we checked in. When my phone’s charging port gave me trouble, the abang and kakak staff helped a lot and even drove us into town to get it fixed. There are plenty of places to eat nearby too. I’m looking forward to visiting again and will definitely return.

The room was basic and the TV didn’t work properly, but it was comfortable enough for our unplanned one-night stop. My kids wanted to stretch their holiday, so we checked in. The bathroom was spacious and had a hot shower. A rug would have helped. The setting has a kampung feel, with a well-kept lawn by the gate. The two women at reception were pleasant. We stayed in villa 2, facing a pond and tall mature trees with birds. I counted as many as six hornbills there, which really added to the nature feel. It’s less than five minutes on foot to the beach, and the busier cafe and restaurant area is a little farther but still an easy walk. We enjoyed our time and plan to return sometime in April for more beach time. This suits people who are happy with a kampung-style resort and basic amenities. If you expect full resort-style service and are fussy, it may not be the right fit. The flooring between villas isn’t very thick, so we could hear the upstairs neighbour’s child running around. In case of an emergency, Klinik Al Hijra is 14 minutes away and open 24 hours.

The Digs was comfortable and pleasant, with hot water, great AC, and just a few steps to the beach. The owner was incredibly helpful when I had trouble booking a Grab. She booked one for me, and when it was cancelled, she drove me herself, over 40 minutes. I can’t thank her enough. The staff and service here deserve my strongest recommendation.

I was surprised by how peaceful the grounds are and how much space there is. The resort is very well maintained, with lovely landscaping, and I found it absolutely amazing.
