Island Hostel Bayan Lepas Airport

The room itself was comfortable and clean, and there was mineral water in the kitchen. The place is fairly close to eateries, but the open-air parking is free and very narrow, and the neighbors stared at me like I was staying there for nothing. I was waiting for my son to arrive at the nearby bus terminal. Without that reason, I'd rather stay elsewhere. I booked through agoda, then the next day got a message from a Singaporean number asking me to upload my IC. The property said it was from a third party, and that I only needed to show my IC at check-in. But it turned out to be self check-in! The vending machine was there but didn't work, and the water filter didn't cool the water. It would've been more comfortable for ironing if the AC downstairs had been on in the morning. Semua kat bawah. Woiiii, you think i stay free aaaa????

Self check-in and checkout were easy. It's a quiet, comfortable place with eight or nine rooms, if I'm remembering right. One room can fit up to ten people. The toilets were clean and body wash was provided, though water pressure in the top-floor toilet was low. There's a big living area, but it gets hot during the day because both AC units there are broken. I'd recommend it for a visit to nearby places, or for studying and work trips.

There's free water and a coffee maker downstairs where you can buy coffee, which is nice. The cleaner was very friendly, though the person I spoke with on WhatsApp was quite rude. The room was decent, but I wish it had a gentler light, maybe a night light, since the main one left me blinded for a couple of minutes.

We stayed for two nights, and the bathroom was cleaned every day. Our room didn't have its own attached bathroom, but it was right outside the room. The friendly aunty and clean common area were nice. There was a mini shared kitchen with a fridge, sink, kitchenware, cordless iron, sofas, and a table, and they let us use the washing machine outside, which helped.
