We only booked this place because we got in late and needed somewhere to rest. We barely slept, skipped showering, and checked out early the next morning. The room was awful: very dark, with old mouldy walls and a stained bed head. There was a strong cockroach and sewage smell, and the door wouldn’t lock. Even lying on the bed left our bodies feeling itchy. We’re never coming back. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

We paid under 100 for one night. The room was clean, though a little small, and suited a couple. It’s close to the city centre and South City Council is within walking distance. There’s also a park nearby where people can jog.

It’s close to just about everything. If you mainly need somewhere to sleep between days out sightseeing, this place works well.

The plastic bathroom partition was something we’d never come across before. The bed felt a little hard, and the air-conditioning was very cold and strong. Getting the shower temperature set was a bit tricky too.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and there’s plenty of parking. Just be aware this is an older budget hotel, not a homestay, and it shares its premises with a motorcycle showroom. The shower pressure was low, particularly on level 4.
