Square Inn

The rooms are simple and minimalist, but very clean, and the building itself seems fairly new. The staff were very friendly, and the service was above average. There's a spacious shared kitchen. The downside is that there isn't a lift, and the hotel rooms are on two floors.

There's no breakfast included, but food stalls across the road open early. The place is very clean and has nice decor. Hot water, coffee, and biscuits are available in the ground floor lounge, which is nicely set up for relaxing or reading. There's no kettle in the room. The room's door security system is good.

I checked in to room 108 on 27th Oct 2023, and the water heater kept failing. I called reception, and the same guy came up and switched on the main supply. It worked for about five minutes, then stopped again. This happened in the morning when I woke at 7am, too. After I called again, he apologized and offered me room 107 to use the toilet, so that solved the problem. Management, please check the electrical department. I think the reception guy is the only one running around, and I feel sorry for him. Please take note, thanks.

The room was quiet and a decent size, and I slept well. Wi-Fi was pretty fast, too. Staff were friendly and even offered an umbrella when it rained, which happens constantly here in "raintown".
