There are plenty of parking spaces nearby, and the location is handy for the food court and supermarket. The beach is a 12-minute walk away, and Tumbina Park takes 10 minutes on foot. My clean Queen room had the basics and cost RM80, which felt like good value.

At this low price, the room was acceptable. A supermarket is nearby, there are food courts in front and around the corner, and Boulevard is within walking distance. The room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable, though too springy. There was a safe and a small fridge, which I didn't try; the fridge was off and had no connection point. In the bathroom, there's nowhere to hang a towel except outside, and the shower curtain and bidet stopcock are awkwardly placed.

The Agoda score of 8.6 seems funny given my stay. You can smell the person next door smoking in your room, and the towel was poor. There's only one card for the room, which feels like the hotel is trying to save electricity without thinking about guests, such as people who want to smoke in their room. At 2am I tried to ventilate the room, then found the toilet light and fan are connected, so the room had to stay bright while I slept. Agoda seems to have filtered out all the bad things.

It's a 12-year-old hotel and still well maintained. For the price, you get a lift, cool air conditioning, and a hot shower, with little to fault. There's even a computer on the ground floor in case your phone isn't usable. Staff are polite, and the deposit is just 20 per room, the lowest you'll find.
