My Cool Home x The Quintet @ Cameron Highlands

After paying RM1400 for two nights, I left the next day and lost the payment for night two. The check-in experience was poor. We were three families but got just one access card, so after a long journey we had to wait in the lift lobby while one person took bags up and came back down for everyone else. The lobby had nowhere to sit, and renovation work was still underway. Only one parking space came with the whole deluxe apartment. They charged RM10 for an extra open-air spot instead of offering another one free. The unit also looked nothing like I expected from the photos. There was no carpet, and walking on the tiled floor in that weather was miserable. The second and third bedrooms shared a bathroom, and the rooms had no fans. The PVC sofa was uncomfortable unless you were wearing long pants. It was noisy until around 1 a.m., with people shouting, running, and laughing, so don't count on a good night's sleep. There was no free Wi-Fi, and they couldn't provide Wi-Fi or even TV channels. I was very disappointed. For what I paid, I could have booked three rooms at a nearby hotel with more facilities, free breakfast, free parking, less noise, and a better night's rest. Overall, a bad choice. I'd suggest a family suite at century pines or avillion for a better stay.

The toilets were dirty, the sofa smelled, the bedsheets smelled, and the toilet pipe was leaking. There was only one rubbish bin, in the kitchen. On the plus side, the unit was spacious for a big family, and the location meant only a short drive to eateries and sundry shops.

There are six queen beds across the three-bedroom suite, which is very spacious. One room and the hall have ceiling fans, and they provide an iron, hair dryer, kettle, rice cooker, steamboat cooker, and basic kitchenware. There’s no stove.

Lots of parking here, and it’s handy having restaurants and a grocery shop nearby. Banks and other shops are close too, including Mr.DIY, oldtown white coffee, and Maybank. The apartment itself is nice.
