Zahara Nova Suite

Everything we needed was within walking distance, which made this short trip feel easy and relaxing. The room at The4 Hotel was spacious and well kept, and the cool Cameron weather made it even nicer. It ended up being better than we expected. A comfortable, affordable option in Cameron Highlands.

Sunset was lovely here, and it seems like a nice quiet spot to have Iftar: you can buy food, warm it in the microwave, and enjoy the peaceful view. The hotel is very accessible, close to KEA farm, Boh tea plantation at palas, butterfly park, centrum night market, and my favourite cat house! It was also one of the quietest hotels at night, with very few cars passing. The stars looked so bright. A good place to rest between activities.

The spacious 2 bedroom suite was the one positive during our 3 days and 2 nights here. The room door was difficult to open and its lock felt rusty, while the toilet was dirty from the beginning and smelled unpleasant the whole time. We pressed the “clean” button before heading out on day one, but came back at 10pm to find the room untouched. After a long day, that was frustrating. Getting the parking validated was another hassle: each time we wanted to leave, we had to go to reception with our TNG/bank card. That should be simpler for hotel guests. Cleanliness and service fell well short of what I expected. I hope management sorts these issues out.

The room felt really creepy, so I didn't take any photos. It looked nothing like the website pictures. Even with all the lights on, it was very dark, and the toilet was dark too. There was a smell in the room, and no fan or air-conditioning. I know it's Cameron Highlands, but I still think they could install a fan or air-conditioning. Bad experience, and I won't stay at this hotel again.
