Riverine Garden Hotel

Room 307 is spacious, with three single beds. A family of five can fit, though you have to pay for two extra beds and a mattress. The shower has a strong flow, better than the water in Kelantan. There’s a mosque just around the corner, and the hotel is near tong juan stuffed crab, kedai kopi kemaman, and hai peng kopitiam ( the 2nd ). For breakfast, I’d rather walk about 1 kilo to the original hai peng kopitiam. Be aware that construction is happening right across the road, and there’s NO DEDICATED HOTEL PARKING !

The river view is lovely, though you can hear the traffic going past and it gets a bit noisy. The fridge worked well and stayed cool. The hotel is in a strategic spot in bandar kemaman, with lots of cafes nearby, but it didn’t provide mineral water or a toothbrush.

The carpets on the floor look really good. The location is handy, especially if you're taking a boat from the jetty, which is just across from the hotel.

I stayed two nights on my own and found it affordable, with the option of staying again if I visit this place in future. There are lots of eateries nearby, and the mosque and bus station are both within walking distance. Staff were friendly and happy to handle my requests, and they warned guests about roadworks near the hotel. The room was generally clean, although there were ants on the table. I wasn’t too bothered since I spent most days out. Water pressure was good, and a few toiletries were provided. Parking is very limited and first come, first served. There is a lift, but you have to climb the stairs to the first floor to reach it, so be ready for that if you have big luggage. Overall, I’d call it a good 3 star hotel for the price.
