The host was rude and refused a refund or rescheduling, showing no responsibility. For the poor conditions, the price felt unreasonable. This property looked nothing like the photos on Agoda. The room smelled bad and felt unhygienic, with dirt and spider webs around. The towels were stained, and although the room was advertised as non-smoking, I found cigarette butts in a drawer. Absolutely disgusting. This place is worse than a cheap roadside motel. Don’t be fooled by the photos or waste your money here.

Finding the place was a struggle. There was just a door tucked into a corner with no clear sign, and we spent about 10 minutes wandering inside, unsure what to do. Someone staying there helped us, since the person who assisted didn’t even work there. Then the owner came downstairs shirtless, mumbled, and walked away. When we opened the room, the bed and pillows were wet, damp, and stained. There were stains and smears on the wall, along with a random shard of glass that looked like a sorry excuse for a mirror.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of little india, but the room was dirty and the bed was broken. The shared bathroom was dirty too, with very low pressure that sometimes barely trickled, and one bathroom had no water. The hallways smelled odd, almost moldy. At night, some rooms had more than five people making noise through the night. The same group was also seen loitering and blocking the staircase, which badly needs scrubbing. There’s no reception desk, so check-in is a pain. You have to dial a four-digit code on a rotary system to get your key. The metal dials are hard to read if you have eye problems, and the self check-in boxes are in a dark, dank, cramped stairway with piles of dirty laundry. Around 11 in the morning, I heard someone fiddling with the door lock from outside. Even though the door locks, I’d probably avoid leaving valuables in the room when going out.

We arrived to find nobody there to receive us, and the host hadn’t contacted us. We tried messaging through Agoda but got no response. Since we needed somewhere to stay, we checked the key lockers. Only two were shut with combinations other than “0000”. The last locker held keys to the staff room and was set to “0000”, so we opened it. In that room, we found a notebook listing the locker combinations and used it to find our room key. A few hours later, there was still no reply from the host. Another couple arrived and tried to check in. We didn’t have a local phone number as foreigners, but they did, so they called the host. Later, an older man knocked on our door and asked why we were there. I used his phone to explain the situation to the host, and we were eventually allowed to stay. I believe the couple who arrived after us had to leave around 3 a.m. The room was very dirty, and so were the common areas. The whole experience was uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
