Ren i Tang

One of my most memorable stays. The building is a beautiful heritage property with a small museum, and the hotel is ideally placed for exploring historic Georgetown. The room was lovely, breakfast was great, the staff were exceptional, and the bistro served good meals too. The stairs are very steep and the elevator was unreliable, so it may be difficult if mobility is a concern. I loved it, and would recommend it to anyone else.

Little India is lively, with Armenian and Chulia Streets just a short walk away. The staff also mentioned that Grab drivers prefer pickups from Beach Street because traffic in Georgetown is dense. The heritage accommodation is comfortable and beautifully put together, though it does need to be treated with care. What stood out most was how friendly and helpful everyone was. They really made us feel like family. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Little India has plenty of restaurants and shops to explore, and Beach Street and Armenian Street are within walking distance. We stayed two nights in a loft room and would gladly come back to Penang if we get the chance. The breakfast was really enjoyable, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We’d worried that an old building might be noisy, but the room was quiet. We heard a little coming and going on the last morning, which didn’t bother us. The room was spacious and very clean, and both it and the building had clearly been renovated and designed with care. We were also amused to find a smart TV there.

Little India is a great base, with cafes and restaurants nearby and the rest of Georgetown center walkable. It’s also easy to get a Grab for places farther out. The breakfast had a terrific range of local and international dishes. Staff were caring, polite, and very patient. The building has been renovated with real respect for its history, and the interior feels thoughtfully and consistently decorated. A lovely stay.
