The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment suited us perfectly, and the two kettles and two fridges were handy. The bed was very comfortable, and our room away from the road was quiet. Reception has a very useful water dispenser. The hotel felt like a calm oasis in busy George Town, with a great location for the main sights and a nearby stop for the free town shuttle. We chose it mainly because parking was included for our Malaysia road trip. Look high on the wall for the car park sign before the hotel sign; it’s easy to miss, and you may end up circling the block. Bring your own tea bags if you prefer them, since the coffee provided is instant sachets. For breakfast, an amazing Chinese bakery is just left of the entrance, at the next street intersection. It’s called Youtiao Xishi Cakoi 166 Ah Yong Youtiao. We ate there both mornings. It was cheap and utterly delicious, and all the bread products we tried were wonderful.

We stayed five nights. The location worked well for walking to Penang Street Art, the jetty, the street food night market, shopping malls, and both Georgetown ferry terminal and Komtar terminal. Our room had two beds for three people and was fairly roomy, though luggage made it cramped. Check-in and checkout were quick, and they could store our bags. The price was affordable given the ups and downs. Cleanliness needs more attention in spots like the headboard and under the table, though the bathroom was clean enough. Staff responded quickly, and when Wi-Fi and internet seemed slow, they tried to fix it right away. Amenities were the usual set: bath and hand towels, body wash, shampoo, toothbrush, hairdryer, iron, electric kettle, and fridge. There’s a small bathtub in the room, which could be risky for older people getting in and out. Gracias ~

Parking behind the hotel was very convenient, and free-flow drinking water was provided. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room felt clean and cozy, with a small bathtub in the bathroom, though hot water pressure was quite low. The location is central, within walking distance of many popular food streets. Highly recommended if you want to explore Georgetown on foot.

The room was neat and clean, the restroom tidy, and the basic things were there. It’s very good value for the price. The big advantage is the location, close to major streets and restaurants, so you can get around without spending on transport if you’re happy to walk. Penang is a place to explore on foot. My one concern was that the window didn’t lock and had no grill, so someone could hop in easily.
