Mines Inn Hotel

I chose this place because it was within walking distance of the railway station, and the bed sheets were clean. The air conditioning and shower were good, and the front desk staff were okay. But the room was worn down: a loose plug point, torn leather on the bedframe, and some lights that didn’t work. Communication was poor, and they didn’t reply to my WhatsApp. I thought breakfast was included in my booking, but it wasn’t. I paid RM120 for one night and can’t say if it was worth it.

We paid RM120 a night during the Deepavali school holiday, breakfast included. The room had one queen bed and one single bed, along with the basics: AC, TV, and a heater. It was comfortable and quiet at night, and the area wasn’t busy. The hotel was clean and the staff were nice. You can walk to 7e, Econsave, a few restaurants and a food court, a bakery, EcoShop, and a burger stall at night. Good for a short vacation or a rest after a long drive. Thank you, keep it up.

The receptionists, both the akak and abang, were friendly and accommodating, and the room and bathroom were very clean. We had nasi lemak, kuih-muih, toast with kaya and butter, teh o, and kopi o for breakfast. We stayed one night before continuing our drive to Kota Bharu. Econsave, Muse Eco Park, Masjid Buluh, and Masjid Razaleigh are nearby. For the price, it exceeded my expectations.

There’s a convenient shop right beside the hotel, and the location is good. Parking spaces are a bit scarce, though, traffic noise carries both day and night, and the Wi-Fi is weak.
