OYO 89451 Hotel Taj Inn Seksyen 7

The first room was much smaller than it looked in the pictures, and the sink and bed cover were dirty. I raised the bed cover issue, got moved to a slightly bigger room, and found the replacement cover just as dirty. The receptionist said all the covers had dirt spots and that this was normal. I booked for 21-23/3/23 because renovations at home made this the closest option. It was cheap at rm8+.++, but the quality was extremely bad. At the first check-in, I was told there was a rm50 deposit, which hadn't been mentioned or posted at the property. I didn't try the water flow. I asked for the deposit back so I could use it at another hotel, but was told a transfer refund would take 1-2 working days. Nobody had told me this condition, and there was no notice at the property. The picture they kept showing explained the procedure but didn't help. Saying sorry didn't solve the problem of the dirty bed. For the accommodation payment, the receptionist said I had to complain to agoda. It was actually non-refundable, but they could refund me. I couldn't report it to agoda because my booking was already confirmed, so I emailed agoda. This should have no stars at all. Please cancel your plans to stay here.

Since reopening, the service and rooms have improved a lot. It's a reasonable hotel near icity and uitm, handy for anyone wanting to spend the weekend around icity.

I stayed one night with a friend, from 25th-26th/2/2019. The deposit was supposed to be rm30, but they couldn't give me the balance, so I paid rm45 instead. At checkout, they still couldn't return the deposit. I trusted them when they said they'd transfer it to my bank, and they eventually returned rm20. I never got the remaining rm25, and now I can't reach the person in charge.

Maintenance beside my room had been going on every day, and by today it was already the third day. They didn't even offer to move me. The customer service was very bad, and the utilities were poor too, with a leaking aircon and a very dirty toilet. Nobody apologized. This is the worst and most uncomfortable hotel I've stayed in all my life. Rating: 5/10.
