City Times Hotel

There wasn’t much choice in the food, and the staff were pretty rude. At checkout, I put my key card on the counter while the worker sat looking at her phone and didn’t even move. I’d expected a smile, but got none. The room itself was spacious and very clean, the location was nice, and it was still a nice hotel despite those flaws.

The breakfast was awful, like cheap school canteen food, and the water pressure was poor. The room was spacious, but there was no hot water. They’d mopped with soapy water that left the floor sticky, so I had to wipe it down with a wet cloth. If you can spend a bit more, don’t stay here.

Stay here and support the management for giving jobs to OKU people. Keep supporting them, and remember to tip the workers. Chill!

The room was spacious, the purified water in the toilet tasted really good, there were plenty of outlets for charging devices, and the air-conditioning was very cold. Those were the only good things about this stay. I booked in a rush because the price included breakfast, and regret it. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. It looked much worse than the photos, old and creepy, like going back to the 90s. There’s no lift, just stairs, and the hotel has three floors. At check-in they handed me the aircon and TV remotes and told me to return them at checkout. The aircon remote only worked when I stood really close to the unit. The room and toilet smelled musty and unpleasant, and red ants were all over the toilet sink. I had to spray my own fragrance around to feel comfortable. The shower pressure was weak. I accidentally knocked the plunger loose, and the housekeeper showed me how to use the shower without it, which turned into something like a switch. I didn’t know whether to laugh or get mad. The room phone wasn’t working at first, so I had to go downstairs and ask staff for help with all these problems. Breakfast wasn’t worth the price, just fried rice, fried mee, and some bread. We’d paid for a Deluxe King room, but they’d pushed two single beds together and covered them with a queen sheet. Avoid this hotel. My fault for rushing in without reading the reviews. What a f***ed up hotel!
