AC Hotels by Marriott Ipoh

The front office team were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the lobby looked beautiful, modern, and well maintained. The room was nicely designed and clean, but it had a sour, musty smell when I arrived. The pillows and pillowcases smelled unpleasant too, which made everything feel less fresh. Housekeeping should air out and refresh rooms properly after cleaning before guests arrive. For a Marriott property, I expected more attention to how the room was prepared. There was no welcome drink or complimentary fruit platter, which isn't necessarily required, but many guests would appreciate or expect that at a 4-star hotel under the Marriott brand. The setting is lovely, and the staff deserve credit for their hospitality. Better housekeeping checks and a stronger guest experience would make a real difference. I hope management takes the feedback well, since the hotel has a lot of potential.

My room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind after sightseeing or work. The gym was reasonably well equipped for keeping up a fitness routine while travelling. AC Hotel by Marriott Ipoh made for a pleasant, reliable stay, and I'd be happy to return when I'm in Ipoh.

Parking was spacious and felt safe, straightforward, and stress-free. The location is handy for Ipoh Parade, local eateries, and a petrol station, in an area that seemed generally safe. Check-in was the main frustration. The queue moved painfully slowly and felt like an unnecessary hassle for a modern, polished hotel. The staff stayed friendly and professional, which helped. If management can make check-in more efficient, this place could be even better. Four stars, and I'd gladly return.

Ipoh Parade is an easy walk away, with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants nearby for eating and shopping. The hotel seemed fairly new and was well maintained, with modern facilities and a welcoming feel. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, a relaxing place to come back to after exploring the city. The staff were attentive, friendly, and professional. I had a very pleasant stay and would gladly return. I'd recommend AC Hotel Ipoh by Marriott to anyone visiting Ipoh.
