Hotel Sagittario

The room had an aircon and there was a water cooler just outside it, but the stay was a bit of a letdown. The location is a little too far from the old town for most people to walk. There was construction next door, and the bedsheets had stains all over, like they hadn’t been cleaned properly.

The place and staff were okay, but there was mold in my room. When I raised it, the boss just said, “We got an no refund policy.” I’d check the room before paying if you can, though they only accepted online payment. I was too mild about it, so be more forceful than I was if this happens to you. Money is hard-earned, don’t waste it. Cheers.

The rates are reasonable, and the hotel is in a renovated shophouse. There’s no car park, so remember to pay for street parking to avoid a summon from Bandaraya Ipoh. You won’t find food stalls nearby.

After waiting around for over an hour, our booking was cancelled. We were left waiting for 1 hour 30 minutes in total, and the only advice was to book another hotel. Nobody was helpful.
