Indra Hotel

I found a room for my friend’s family of five on the day they needed it, after they had to leave another hotel earlier. I called directly, and luckily there was availability. The staff let us pay at the hotel, including the deposit. It was RM 291 per day, plus RM3 tax, with no breakfast. The location was handy for the Bercham,Ipoh highway towards Malaysia’s North and South states. One issue: the phone volume on the receiver was so low that I kept having to ask what they meant. They may want to check it, since unclear communication could make customers cancel.

There was no water heater, though they said the system was solar. The WiFi wouldn’t connect, and the front desk staff didn’t resolve the issue.

Really liked my time there. The staff were lovely, the room was clean, and the service was very good for a reasonable price.

There was no water heater. They said it was a solar system and hot water was only available in the afternoon, which makes no sense if people need to shower at night or in the morning. The nightly price felt very expensive, especially since checkout was at 12 noon. I arrived at 12.30 midnight and was charged 200. Not worth it. If you don’t check out by 12 noon the next day, management charges a RM30 penalty. I’ve stayed at many hotels and haven’t come across this kind of rule. Worst hotel experience I’ve had.
