Mornington Hotel Soon Choon

Room 22’s water heater didn’t work, and water pooled on the bathroom floor instead of draining into the hole. I paid rm85 for two single beds, which didn’t feel worth it; at oyo, a room like this would be rm40. The door wasn’t working properly either, and a worker opened my room without knocking. Very rude.

It’s a decent budget hotel, clean and spacious enough for a night after a long drive, though I wouldn’t choose it for a vacation. There were some plumbing leaks, and the raised bathroom threshold meant I had to be careful going in and out. It’s located just fee kilometres from the highway exit.

There are better hotels in the same area for a similar or lower price. We paid more for a deluxe room but were given a standard one. The front desk staff member was rude and unprofessional; when I asked for a refund or an explanation, he said it wasn’t his problem. Cleanliness was poor too, with small roaches visible as soon as we entered the room. Avoid this place at all cost! 🚨🚨🚨

The room and service were poor overall, especially for the price and facilities. We had to ask for another towel for two people, and there was only one welcome drink for two guests. The person taking the guest arrival picture didn’t smile. The toilet door hadn’t been repaired, and there was no shared hot or cold water for guests on the ground floor.
