Ritz Garden Hotel Ipoh

The location is about the only thing I liked. My room had no window and sat between a hall, so there was constant noise from people passing by. It was also dusty and had an odd smell. If you have another place to stay, I'd consider that instead.

The receptionist spoke to customers without manners. She should remember to treat outsiders as friends, and work on those bad habits. Good manners matter.

The staff were easily the best part. They were friendly, helpful, and kind about taking care of what I needed. The hotel is near lots of attractions and places to eat, though it's a little tucked away from the main road, and the main check-in lobby is a bit farther in. The room was small but fine for resting, and the price felt fair. Still, sound carried from inside and outside the hotel, waking me several times. I also hoped to swim, but the pool wasn't properly maintained.

There is parking in the building, though the same entrance is used to go in and out, so take care. The room had very little space, while the bathroom was roomy but had a pipe in somewhat poor condition. For a hotel that isn't exactly budget priced, there's plenty to improve.
