Forest City Golf Hotel

I liked the peaceful setting and the nice morning view. The pool was pretty good and not too deep, so older kids can enjoy swimming without worry. There's a gym too, and the food tasted good. I'd like to come back sometime.

The kids loved the bathtub and big pool, and the resort's calm, scenic setting made for a relaxing family break. It's some distance from town, though, and there's room to improve. Our room was spacious, with two super single beds that we pushed together into a super king-size bed. The shower tap was faulty and hard to turn on. Dining choices felt limited, especially for a longer stay. There are just two restaurants on site, one Japanese and one Korean, and the main hotel restaurant had few options. The Chinese kitchen was closed on our first night, leaving my in-laws with only nasi biryani for dinner. More variety would be welcome. Breakfast was included in the room booking, but children sharing with their parents weren't included in the allowance. I booked two rooms for four adults and two children, yet we were told only four people could have breakfast, whether adults or children. We paid RM39 per child, but our children and in-laws had to miss breakfast both mornings. It would feel more family-friendly if each room's breakfast allowance included one child. Overall, the place has roomy accommodation and enjoyable facilities for kids, but dining variety, maintenance, and arrangements for families with young children could be better.

Finding a family room at a reasonable price for an unplanned trip was difficult, even after searching lots of hotels in Johor Bahru. I'm glad I found Forest City Hotel. It's a fair way from town, but that wasn't a big problem for us. The room was large and clean, and the facilities were all in one area, so I could keep an eye on the kids at the pool while exercising in the gym. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices, and the hotel staff were kind and helpful. I'm very happy with the stay and give Forest City Hotel five stars!

We came for a weekend break, and the quiet setting away from the city was lovely. The scenery outside the rooms was beautiful, and our clean, tidy room had spacious beds that we slept well in. It's relaxing here, but its distance from the city makes getting around difficult. We found the hotel service good, though some restaurant staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Food was another concern: breakfast choices were limited, and the hotel restaurants and cafe didn't offer much halal food. As Muslims, we would have liked halal options, especially since going out from the hotel isn't easy. Keep those points in mind if you decide to stay.
