City Boutique Hotel - Bangi

The location was great, but cockroaches started appearing on the second day.

The rooms were comfortable and good enough, but the staff made it harder to rest. Their phone volume in the customers' sitting area was too loud. If they want to use their phones while resting there, they should wear earphones, and management should keep the hotel quiet for guests. When I asked for help with services and other things, the staff should have been friendlier instead of making annoyed faces.

For nearly RM100 a night, I didn’t feel the room was worth it. It was basic and sufficiently clean, though the floor felt a little slippery and there was a musty smell. The shower pressure wasn’t great either. In our room, the aircon remote didn’t work, so we had to switch it on manually and couldn’t change the temperature. Hopefully that was just an issue with this one room, and not the whole hotel. I’ve stayed in better budget hotels.

We stood at reception for 20 minutes wanting to check in, and the receptionist didn’t even attend to us. The hotel itself was really dirty. The bedsheets smelled like unwashed hair, the floor was sticky, and the kitchen had a really bad smell. The service was disappointing too. There was only Domino's Pizza around there, with local stalls elsewhere that didn’t look very appetising.
