The room was huge, though it smelled when I first walked in and improved later. The lighting was extremely dim, so it’s not a good spot if you need to do makeup in the evening or at night. Water pressure and the heater were good, but the bathroom floor was slippery, and cleanliness could be better. Kids and older people need to be careful. There’s no lift, so people with knee problems, older guests, or anyone carrying heavy bags may want to look elsewhere. I only needed a room for 5-6 hours to rest and freshen up before an event. We arrived at 1.10pm and the receptionist refused early check-in, saying the manager didn’t allow it, even though it was only 50mins early. After I said I was disappointed, she offered it for RM 10. I wouldn’t have minded being told the room was still being cleaned, but it was available. I was also asked for a RM50 deposit, though other guests said they hadn’t been asked for one. I would have rated this 3 stars without the poor reception service. I’ll never return because of the management’s service.

The room felt exclusive and was really tiptop for the price, above what I expected. I’d stay again, though the service wasn’t great because there’s no lift. They should say clearly that the place isn’t suitable for pregnant women, older people, or people with disabilities. The birds were a bit annoying, but we were so tired that once our heads hit the pillows, we were off in another universe. The town seemed dead. By 9 o’clock all the shops were closed, and the streets were very quiet apart from the birds.

The central Kluang town location is convenient for food stalls, shops, and banks, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and neat. Still, it wasn’t to my liking. The three-storey hotel has no lift and quite a lot of stairs, so older people travelling here should avoid it. Young guests may be fine with the stairs. At night the room lighting is much too dim. Daytime is okay because natural light comes through the window, but at night it’s hard to see clearly while using a laptop or even a phone. The toilet floor is very slippery, and they’ve put up a sign to warn guests. I don’t understand why hotels use slippery tiles in bathrooms. I don’t like dim rooms or slippery floors.
