Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites

The staff were unhelpful, uninterested and nearly rude. They met questions with blank looks or half-hearted answers, as if guests were a nuisance. There was no sense of hospitality. Parking was chaotic too, with few spaces, no proper control and no help from staff, so you’re left to fend for yourself and hope for the best. The room looked tired, dusty and poorly maintained. Cleanliness clearly wasn’t a priority, and it was embarrassing. This is totally NOT a 4-star hotel in its service, cleanliness or management. Honestly, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

The bed was okay, but the pillow wasn’t. The hotel felt a bit run down, with an old-fashioned bathroom that was somewhat dark. We stayed two nights, and nobody cleaned the room or refilled the water. The soundproofing was very poor, we could literally hear what the people next door were doing.

The location is good, and for just one night the room is fine. Don’t expect much beyond that. Cleanliness was poor, the toilets looked like they hadn’t had a deep scrub in five years, water pressure was awful and the towels smelled. My room was beside the main road and incredibly noisy.

We came for the annual dinner, I wasn’t a guest, and this isn’t a complaint. The service crew were okay. Their uniform is very plain, though; a small silver wau bulan pin on the left side of the chest could break up all that black. You can do much better. I think the toilet door would work better opening outward. It felt cramped having to squeeze between the door to close it. Thank you.
