For a budget stay, the Temenggong is very good value. It’s clean and closer to the central market, night market, and older business district of Kota Bharu than many pricier hotels. The building and facilities aren’t the most modern or well appointed, but I spent nearly four months there one summer and was very happy with my stay.
8/10
I stayed here overnight while heading to the Perhentians. It was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price was very low, which felt fair given the older furniture and bathroom. The location was handy too.
