The price is low, the location is good, and reception is open 24h. But I'm sure you can get a cleaner place for the same price. The bedsheets had stains, and smoke from people outside came into the bedroom.

The price is cheap and the location is very strategic. Still, it felt strange and scary when room service came even though nobody in my family had requested it. It happened while we were away shopping at the mall.

The location and price are probably the reasons I'd still recommend this place, but staying here was a ridiculous, almost comical mess. The power plugs were hard to work out, the shower was difficult to use, and it felt like every little thing was a puzzle. There were no instructions at all. If you stay, be ready to feel baffled.

The heater is the one thing I didn't like, since it was hard to adjust and went either too hot or cold. Otherwise, the room was good and the staff were friendly. I especially liked the location, right near the mall, restaurants, and the Sunday or Filipino market.

The room was clean and attractive, though the TV channels were mostly Chinese even though 99% of Malays stay at this hotel. Parking costs extra because the spaces are managed by the local authority, DBKK. It's in a strategic spot near Wisma Merdeka, Suria Sabah, and Pasar Malam (seafood), right by the seafront facing Pulau Gaya. There are lots of choices there, including fresh fish, crab, squid, shrimp, vegetables, and seaweeds.
