Jesselton Quay by Pinstay

The two rooms we booked through Booking.com at Jesselton Quay were in an unacceptable state. The floors were badly damaged, and both rooms were very dirty. This fell far short of a reasonable standard and of what was advertised. Staff already knew about the problems and acted as though they were normal. We were told the same issue affected the whole floor, which points to an ongoing maintenance failure, yet the rooms are still being rented out. We also weren’t told beforehand that parking costs by the hour, which added expense and inconvenience. This stay was frustrating and disappointing enough to undermine our confidence in booking through Booking.com, where we’ve usually had reliable quality and service. I can’t recommend this property based on what we experienced. We expect an explanation and a fair resolution for the room conditions and the trouble caused. Please respond promptly and treat this urgently.

From our unit, we had lovely views of both the mountains and the sea. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants downstairs, and Gaya Street Night Market is about a 12-minute walk away.

We stayed on the 7th floor and had a good view of the swimming pools. It’s a calm, nice place for a family, and everything was fine. I booked through the Shopee app, though Agoda, Booking.com, or Trip.com work too. I’d come back on my next trip.

The staff were really friendly. I had the Lego Room type, with a great view of the Jesselton jetty and the island.
