Golden Palace Hotel

Both rooms were so bad we left in under an hour and found another hotel. Room 211 had a leaking air conditioner, with a pail put underneath instead of a repair, and the toilet was extremely dirty. Room 207 was filthy too, its toilet was in terrible condition, and the toilet lamp was broken. Both rooms smelled moldy, were very dirty, and had dusty beds and spider webs. The hallway was filthy as well. I had booked two rooms and was assigned 211 and 207. The receptionist said the hotel was full, with no other rooms available. But after I complained angrily about the condition, they suddenly offered to move us, which was confusing after saying they were fully booked. We decided to change hotels instead. I had paid the full amount online before check-in and didn't get a refund. I wouldn't book this hotel.

Nothing seemed to work: there was no light switch, the TV and locker were broken, and there was no hot water or tap. There was no privacy either. When I went out, they took my 180 RM. They also kept the 50 RM deposit and never returned it at checkout. They come into your room when you're out and steal your money. Is this a hotel? I'd rather sleep on the road than stay here. Never go to a place like this.

Dirty, with no hangers, and the iron was very dangerous. Wouldn't recommend it.

I had to insist they honor our Agoda booking because they said there were no rooms left. One room they gave us didn't have a key, so we had to ask the manager to open it. The place was very old and dirty, with stains on the walls and broken faucets. It was cheap, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. Avoid it, it's not worth it.
