Hotel Seri Putra

The night shift receptionist was kind and very helpful. I forgot to ask her name, but she gave me a different room after I reported what had happened. I checked in around 4:30pm during my break, looked over the room, and everything seemed fine. I was in a hurry because I still had work to do. When I returned at about 11pm, I was shocked to find the room in a complete mess, as if someone had used it. The queen bed had been changed to two single beds, and they were messy. The washroom was dirty too. Exhausted, I went downstairs and told the receptionist. She was confused about how I had a key, so I explained that I had checked in earlier and was just coming back to rest. Apparently there were two keys for the room. I still don't understand why they gave my room to another guest after I'd already checked in. Luckily, I hadn't left my belongings there. I was furious thinking about what could have happened. I couldn't sleep that first night, wondering whether someone else also had a key to the replacement room. It gave me no peace of mind at all. A terrible experience.

It's a nice place for a fair price, in an old building that's been renovated. Asian, Pakistani, and Indian food outlets are nearby, and Bukit Bintang and China Street are within walking distance.

Good price, and the room is number one. Two people can stay in one room, with no extra payment.

The room was clean and kept in good shape, and the staff were helpful and always smiling. But street noise kept me awake all night and even early in the morning. I'd recommend bringing your own earplugs.
