The rooftop pool and bar were a relaxing spot, with enough clean towels and unusually distinctive cocktails at competitive prices. The pool bar staff could have done more, though. They spent a lot of time talking and looking around, but not much serving. They could sell more drinks by walking around and asking guests. I stayed four nights and found it restful overall. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities. Breakfast was above average, with tasty choices. Staff were welcoming and polite from the start, especially Sanim and Naveed, who were excellent. It's in a quiet neighborhood outside the City Centre, near the MRT and Monorail. The front street has several restaurants, so the back rooms are quieter. I'd come back.

What stood out most was the care from the staff, especially at reception. Naveed and the whole reception team were kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their attention and positive attitude made my stay memorable and left me feeling well looked after from arrival onward. The Stripes Hotel Kuala Lumpur is stylish and comfortable, and the location is great too. I had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur.

I liked everything, but nothing really stood out. The rooftop pool and bar looked pretty, though they were much smaller than the photos led me to expect. Our complimentary cocktails were well made and tasted good. I'd be happy to stay again, but with a choice I'd look for somewhere in the same price range with more character or a slightly more premium location. The location is good for public transport and nearby food. We like walking, though, and found tourist attractions a bit of a trek. Grab is affordable and convenient. Breakfast was bland, with tasteless fruit and the same basic choices we saw at other places around the country. It wasn't bad, just unremarkable. The coffee machine leaked in both rooms our party used. Bathrooms were fine, but the sink outside the bathroom felt odd. My view was decent; the view from the room next door was almost entirely blocked by the building's cladding. Service was straightforward and not unpleasant.

The rooftop pool was especially lovely at sunset, with a bar right there. Inside, my room was clean and comfortable, with good bedding. I especially liked the powerful air-conditioning, which kept the whole room cool in Kuala Lumpur's heat. There was even an evening turndown service. Housekeeping and concierge were friendly and helpful. There are plenty of fancy places to eat a short walk away in several directions. Dang Wangi LRT station and Medan Tuanku Monorail station are each about a 10-15 minute walk, with connections to places of interest. Quill city mall is the nearest mall. I'd gladly come back if the price isn't too high.
