Indie Hotel Kuala Lumpur

For such a small hotel, the room was impressively clean and exactly like the ad photo. There was plenty of room for the three of us, including one person who’s quite big, and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were nice and professional too. It’s within walking distance of lots of tourist spots, including about 15 minutes on foot to the Jalan Alor area. The hotel may be small, but there’s plenty of space around it for cars or taxis if you bring or order one. Definitely worth the money, and I’d recommend it.

I stayed for two nights, and the lack of basic room checks made for a disappointing visit. On the first evening, the disposable slippers were missing and the body wash container in the shower was completely empty. I told the front desk the next day and asked for both to be provided, but when I got back that evening, neither issue had been fixed. That shows poor attention to detail and service. I’m very disappointed and won’t stay here again.

We stayed four nights and were quite pleased. The area is very green, and I liked the clean entrance and the rear corridor facing what I think is KL tower, though I’m not sure that’s the right name. The hotel has a minimalist feel, and the rooms worked well for my wife and me. Staff were polite whenever we passed reception. Our room was fairly large, with a nice bed and bathroom, and it also had an ironing board. The one downside is that there aren’t restaurants or food stalls nearby. There’s only one minimart next door.

Check-in went smoothly even though I arrived at 10 pm, and I really liked my two-night stay. The room was spacious and clean, with good lighting and air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and had a great mirror. The shower was my favourite part, just the best feeling 🙌 There was an iron and ironing board too, which was handy. The neighbourhood felt safe and quiet despite being near some pub complex. Still, maybe don’t walk alone late at night.
