Hotel O Kl Centre Point

The room was in really poor condition: the bed creaked loudly and its frame seemed cracked, there were no towels, the air-conditioner remote had no batteries, and both the shower hose and bidet were broken. The whole room smelled strongly of mold. I booked at the last minute for two friends after a late-night party and hadn’t planned to stay myself. Reception quoted RM70 per night plus a RM20 deposit, which seemed reasonable at first. One friend wasn’t feeling well, so I stayed with them for safety. At checkout, the receptionist refused to return the deposit, saying three people had stayed instead of two, and charged RM90 total. Given the room condition, charging extra for one more person felt unreasonable. The service was poor, the room unhygienic, and the way they handled the deposit felt unfair. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the cleanliness, facilities, and customer service improve a lot.

The staff were friendly and helpful, which was a small bright spot. The location is very strategic for street food around Chinatown KL, but I wouldn’t expect to enjoy the hotel itself. There’s no soundproofing, so you hear neighbors showering and slamming doors. The elevator is a small metal box that makes you appreciate each safe landing. In the bathroom, the sink wobbles, the toilet seat is broken, and the bidet handle seems close to giving out. The shower is warm, but the pressure is barely more than a drizzle. The mattress has seen better days, and the air conditioner is basically a vintage dust collector. The room smells like old cigarette smoke and something not quite right. Mold decorates the walls, while water stains give the ceiling an artistic look.

For RM50 for two people for one night, it’s a bargain. The receptionist and staff were helpful enough. The toilet smelled pretty bad at first, though the smell went away after a few uses, not sure why. The aircon worked well, and there was a water heater and TV. Just don’t expect a two or three star hotel experience at this price. If you’re driving, you can park at central market car park. It costs rm10 from 5pm to 7 am, then another 2ringgit per hour. I ended up paying rm18 since I checked out at 10.

Dust and grime were everywhere, including the floors and curtains, which looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. The bedsheets had visible blood stains, and the desk was broken with empty complimentary water bottles left on it. The water heater didn't work either. A really disappointing stay.
