Oasis Guest House

The service was really good, especially from the man who checked us in. He was kind, warm, and welcoming. The hotel is nice and relaxed, though the rooms could be better. They’re still manageable, and I had a good experience.

The rooftop was a real highlight, with an amazing view of Merdeka 118, the world’s second tallest building, right in front of Oasis Houses. There’s a simple public kitchen and some refrigerators on the fourth floor, and the rooftop is one flight up by stairs. I’m a cat lover, so all the cats around the house made me feel happy and peaceful. The receptionists and manager were friendly, helpful, and kind. Amir and his wife, Kak Linda, and the night shift guy whose name I don’t know all made the place feel welcoming. It felt like a second home to me as a tourist, and I’ll definitely come back. I stayed from 1 October to 19 October, so I got a good feel for the place. You get what you pay for, and the prices are economical and good value. It’s a simple, cozy guest house with good security and clean toilets and bathrooms. The bathrooms are outside the rooms, with two toilets and bathrooms on each floor. I had room 101 on the first floor, with a city view from the window. It cost 50 to 55 ringgit per night. For Muslim guests who want to pray at a mosque or surau, Masjid Al Sultan Abdullah is 450 meters away, across from Stadium Merdeka. Turn right from the house to get there. Surau Abu Said Al-Khudri is 400 meters away in the direction of Pasar Seni, to the left from the house. There’s enough space to pray in your room too, though the house doesn’t have an indoor surau. The house is in Chinatown, downtown near KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre), and within walking distance of Pasar Seni, Petaling Street Market, Stadium Merdeka, Kwai Cai Hong, and Pudu. The LRT and MRT stations, Go KL Bus, and RapidKL bus station hub at Pasar Seni are also close by.

A cheap, good choice for a budget trip, near a Chinese bazaar. Kitchen facilities are available, but shoes or slippers aren’t allowed inside the hotel.

The rooftop view was breathtaking, and it’s a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Oasis Guest House is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable rooms and a convenient location. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable visit.
