MyCiti Hotel Kuala Lumpur

The room was okay and clean, though the sheet was a bit dirty. The shower had good pressure, but the toilet was stained. The TV was broken, there was a smell, and there was no parking. I don't know how they claim to be a three-star hotel. This isn't all Booking.com’s fault, but they give it a high rating and I don't know why. If there's no parking, the listing should say where to park and include the rate. I had to drive around looking for parking, especially during peak hours, which was really bad. There are only stairs from outside to the lobby, so when you first arrive you have to carry all your luggage yourself. Lol.

The dispenser water was handy, and the reception staff were friendly, but there was a persistent smell in the reception area and lifts. We came back from Penang and stayed here again. After checking in around 8 p.m., we went straight to sleep. The next morning we noticed stains on the old, not very clean sheets and quilt cover. We told reception at about 1 p.m. and went out. When we returned, the receptionist said there were coffee stains on the quilt cover and that we would be charged. I don't trust the housekeeping staff after this. They didn't leave tea or shampoo after cleaning, and I felt they blamed us instead of doing their jobs properly. The entrance has stairs and no ramp for luggage. I wouldn't recommend it, and we don't want to stay here again.

Getting around Kuala Lumpur was easy from MyCiti Hotel, with Masjid Jamek nearby and public transport, local food, and popular sights all within reach. Our room was comfortable, clean, well kept, and had the essentials. The staff were helpful and professional, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. I thought it was good value for the comfort, cleanliness, and location, and I'd happily stay again or recommend it to someone visiting KL.

The hotel's location near Masjid India is its main plus. The rest of our stay was disappointing, especially the cleanliness and the way one housekeeping staff member treated us. The staff member wears spectacles and was repeatedly rude and disrespectful. The bedsheets and blankets were dirty, and when we raised it, he accused us of causing the problem instead of handling it professionally. He also wouldn't speak politely or trust what guests said. We had already stayed 10 days and wanted to add another 10, but when we asked for a better rate, we were quoted the same high price, despite the hotel's claim of “best prices for direct bookings.” We found the service and overall experience disappointing. I’m attaching my room access card and booking confirmation for Room No 611 in case they say we never stayed or that this is a fake review. Our stay was 30Mar - 07Apr 2026.
