Oyo 89397 Winnieys Boutique Hotel

The air conditioner was very old and noisy, and it kept jolting me awake. There was barely enough water to flush the toilet, and the room smelled strongly of smoke. The bedsheet was yellowish, the room was dirty, and it didn't match the website photos. I slept badly and had a terrible time.

For a cheap place to bunk, this works well. The staff were friendly and gave helpful information, and you can walk to the city center. It's basic, but has what I needed: internet, a shower, a bed, and AC.

It's cheap and very unpretentious, which may be what you want, but it felt more like a short stay motel than the “boutique hotel” it calls itself. My room's window wouldn't close properly, and there was no safe deposit box, so I wouldn't leave valuables there.

The toilet was clean, but there was very little water. The table had no chair, so I couldn't sit there to charge my phone. There were lots of ants and mosquitoes, and reception took a long time to reply when I asked for the Wi-Fi password. Check-in was at 2 in the afternoon and checkout at 5 in the morning, which I couldn't manage. I paid a 60 deposit but got only 50 back, and the cashier said nothing.
