Just checked into a twin family room for 5 people. Super affordable, and the reception staff member was very polite. Recommended.

The hotel is well located for traffic, with lots of restaurants nearby and a pharmacy right next to it. It was easy to get a GrabCar, and they have a public water machine in the hallway. They don’t provide bottled water every day, coffee, or tea, though, and the room had just one electrical socket, which was inconvenient. Most of the staff were kind, but the middle-aged man on the night shift at reception wasn’t very friendly. The woman I think is the boss was very rude to customers. I can’t say how she treats other customers, but when she gets angry, she speaks in English and Chinese in a very cruel way.

We paid through Traveloka for three people to stay eight days while my sister had eye surgery at IKONIK. The room had one single bed and one double, and the price was reasonable. Tourists also need to pay RM10 per room, per night, as stated on Traveloka. The Wi-Fi was excellent. Genshin usually had about 100-120ms delay, at most. Staff were friendly, changed towels when asked, and hallway water was almost always available. We took out our rubbish and changed the bags ourselves each day. After heavy rain, the power went out in the rooms but not the hallways. It came back in about 15 minutes, and I found the whole thing kind of funny. The room wasn't very clean when we arrived, with bits of hair around, and the shampoo dispenser was broken and leaking. My sister thought the spill looked like blood. The room had no windows, poor airflow, a hot, moldy smell when we opened the door. I found it helped to air it out with the AC for 30-60 minutes a day, then tidy up a little. For the price, I could live with it, though some people might not feel the same. It's in Chinatown, so there’s lots of non-halal food nearby. Head right for plenty of halal stalls and restaurants. I liked +60 MyHub and Ma La Tang on Jalan Sultan. Bring cash, since many places don't take cards or DuitNow. People around here can sound harsh or look unfriendly, but after more than a week I got the sense that's just how they communicate. They still say thanks and help when you need it. If your budget allows, Floresta Hotel Chinatown is only 100m away. Other nearby options either didn't have a three-person room or cost too much when we visited. This place isn't a bad pick if you're watching your budget. The lobby had a strange smell, maybe disinfectant, I'm not sure. Probably not for drama queens.

The hotel was only satisfactory for cleanliness, and there was no free Wi-Fi. For a budget place, nearly RM100 felt like a lot. The receptionist was unfriendly when I asked for an iron. He said there wasn't one and told us to look for it on the stairs. There we saw something shameful happening where it shouldn't. I found the whole stay nauseating. First and last time here.

The linen had stains and hair on it, and most of the receptionists seemed to have no customer service at all. They didn't greet us or return a greeting, and looked frowning and unhelpful. The supervisor was the exception. I'd put up with this for a single night if necessary, but there are several decent, cheaper places on the same street, so I wouldn't make this my place to stay in KL.
