Star Residence KlCC by FZB

We ended up awake in chairs before a long flight because we didn't feel safe sleeping in the room. On the second night, we filmed several bed bugs in the bed. The first night we hadn't understood what was causing the bites. This was in a room at Star Residence KLCC BY FZB, shown in the photo with the room number. We were bitten overnight, a serious health and hygiene problem. Even with clear photo and video evidence, neither the hotel nor Agoda, where we booked, offered a meaningful solution or refund. Completely unacceptable and concerning for health and safety. We arrived exhausted after 20 hours of travel at around 10 AM. They said they'd let us know when the room was ready, but after the official 3 PM check-in time we had to call them ourselves. Avoid this property, and be cautious booking through Agoda. Their support didn't lead to a fair outcome in our case.

They cut our two-room booking down to one room with one toilet, and the staff didn't update us in time. After we kept insisting, they said we could either accept it or call agoda. We felt badly let down by the service, so we booked another apartment and checked out.

I booked six months ahead, then tried to check my reservation a few days before arriving. The Booking app wouldn't load that booking, so I contacted the host and was told the property no longer belonged to them. A day before the stay, a different number messaged to say there was a leak in the apartment and the booking had to be cancelled. Looking at other reviews, it seems they use the same excuse with lots of people. They can leave you without a place to stay at the last minute, so don't book here. The name on Booking has now been changed to Star service Suite KLCC.

I'd give this minus 10 stars if I could. The two “suite apartments” weren't like the description at all: one was just a regular room, and the other was a tiny box with a bed and no room for a suitcase. The staff were so rude and unpleasant, and communicating with them was totally impossible.
