Sun Inns Mont Kiara

We were treated well by the friendly front desk staff throughout our staycation. When we reported that water was leaking from the roof in one of the rooms we'd rented, they moved us to a larger family room. We really appreciated the upgrade, and requests for extra things like towels were handled promptly. The cleanliness was disappointing, though. There were cockroaches when we entered, and the room had a bad smell. The toilet didn't feel clean enough either, so I used my own slippers in the bathroom.

I booked two nights, three days at this hotel, checking in on 30/5/26. The lobby already looked poorly kept, though I thought the room might be better. I was wrong. My room was on the second floor, and its door was already open before I got there. Inside, the room was terrible, especially the bathroom. Lots of little bugs were crawling on the floor, along with some strange-coloured liquid. I went straight to reception to complain. They gave me two other room cards so I could choose another room, but when I went to the first floor, the corridor smelled horrible, like dead animals. It nearly made me throw up. In the end I chose not to stay that night. Luckily, the receptionist agreed to refund me and told me to contact Agoda to cancel the booking.

The place was filthy and badly kept, more like a makeshift hotel. The room smelled awful and the sheets looked dirty. I couldn't even step into the bathroom. I lasted barely two minutes before leaving, but they refused a refund and I lost my money. There was no way I was sleeping in that disgusting bed.

Finding parking was extremely difficult. Worse, the room was full of cockroaches, so I had to ask reception for an aerosol. The bathroom ceiling was badly mouldy and left an unpleasant smell. I assume they don't clean the rooms. I hope they do something about it. Honestly, the worst hotel I've stayed in.
