The service was attentive, and the setting at The Majestic KL is elegant, with classic colonial design that makes for a relaxed, striking atmosphere. Tea and coffee are free-flow, and live piano music adds to the mood. The spread includes pastries, smoked salmon, cucumber and egg mayo sandwiches, plus freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, all nicely presented and balanced. You need to book ahead by email, as they don't accept walk-ins. It takes planning, but it's a lovely treat for a special occasion or a relaxing afternoon.

The prayer room stood out to me for its generous size and thoughtful design, which is very convenient for Muslim guests, especially when a large event means many people need to pray at once. The restrooms are also spacious enough for big crowds without feeling packed. The Majestic Hotel has a beautiful classic, retro feel, with elegant architecture and lots of character. It works well for weddings, family gatherings, corporate functions, and other celebrations, blending heritage and practicality.

The front office team were warm, professional, and sincere, even during a very busy check-in while rooms were still being prepared. It brought back memories of my first hotel visit as a child. The breakfast buffet was awesome and tasted good, though an artisan bread selection would have made it perfect. The food and beverage staff felt cold, with straight faces, and management should train them on guest relations. Most were foreigners, specifically Bangladeshi. I reported that the complimentary juices tasted very strange, almost spoiled. The staff took note but didn't replace them. I suspect the juice may have been left over from breakfast and brought out again as an evening complimentary drink. Please address it. Kitchen team, please smile and do your best with guest relations. It matters and is part of the job. I've worked in the same industry for 13 years, so I know what I mean.

In February 2026, we started in a junior suite in the Colonial Wing, but it had no view or natural light because of the shutters. We paid extra to move to a “better suite” in that wing, only to find several wear and tear problems, which we reported to Reception. Ejaj in FO worked with the Duty Manager and patiently helped us move to a suite in the hotel's more modern section. We were delighted with the larger room, extra facilities, and lovely city view with plenty of daylight. The hotel also gave us a complimentary dinner in the restaurant, which we greatly appreciated. Thanks to Ejaj's kind help, we were able to enjoy our stay in KL.
