The staff were especially helpful and attentive, and their friendly service made a real difference. The location was convenient for getting around and exploring, and check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were simple and comfortable enough, but nothing particularly memorable. Breakfast had a limited selection, which could be better for people staying longer. It was a good stay overall, mostly thanks to the location and service.

My stay at **Grand Mercure Bukit Bintang** was a nightmare. It was easily the **worst international five-star hotel** I've experienced, and I don't think it deserves its rating, price, or brand name. I strongly warn travelers not to waste their time or money here. There are many better Kuala Lumpur hotels that treat their guests with respect. The room was small, basic, outdated, and shockingly poor in quality. It felt like a budget three-star hotel instead of a premium property. Housekeeping also left the shampoo, shower gel, and lotion empty and never replenished them. After we called, it took almost an hour for someone to come do a simple refill. That kind of slowness and inefficiency is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one calling itself five-star. Breakfast was a disaster too. There was a heavy focus on Indian dishes and very little variety. In Malaysia, I expected more local or international choices. Calling it a five-star breakfast felt insulting. It seemed cheap and poorly planned, as if costs were being cut. Service around the hotel was painfully slow. Requests, lifts, and staff responses all took ages, when anyone responded at all. The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful when we asked to store our luggage. They sent us to Level 1, where there were no staff, wasting our time. We then waited nearly 30 minutes for the lift. To make things worse, nobody answers the phone, whether you call in the morning, afternoon, or night. This hotel should be ashamed to call itself a five-star Grand Mercure.

We didn't need to leave the property, with restaurants right at the doorstep. The rooms, facilities, and food and beverage were immaculate, and the hospitality was five-star. Sally and Syafiq deserve a special mention: they made our stay from before arrival through departure. The hotel is a gem in the heart of KL, luxurious yet affordable, and we're already planning another visit.

Everything was well organized, and the rooms were fantastic, neat, and clean. Ms.Sally, the Manager, gave us a warm, smiling welcome. Sorry if I've got her name wrong. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Berjaya Times Square mall and MRT.
